Most scales do that. If your floor is uneven, it can result in different weights. It's best to keep it on the floor, in an even spot, in the same space for accuracy.

Scales are an estimate and you guage how effective by weighing yourself at the doctor's office and getting an idea how accurate yours is. The above comment is true. Decide where you want the scale to be and always weigh yourself in the same spot, at the same time of day, and with the same or no clothes on. Then you are working with factors that provide a more accurate measure of where your weight is going. Even if you weigh yourself daily as a marker don't rely on daily weights as they fluctuate. It is best to take a weight once a week as the monitor of where you are going. Then you can reflect back and decide if changes need to be made or if you are on target. Good luck!

Lol Red! That's what I thought my scale was doing. Carol and Suzi are right, I have noticed my scale doing the same thing. It is digital and measures in lbs and oz, so it was really frustrating to see it fluctuate so much. I finally decided to place it on the same tile in the bathroom (I have the big tiles, so it fits squarely on one). I weigh myself after I get out of the shower, that way I can't say a shirt or shorts made me weigh more. lol. I always say au natureal is the best way to weigh. Other than that, you and the scale could have a discussion and you should threaten to throw it out and replace it with a smarter cooler version. It should start acting right and your children will think you have super powers and will do whatever you say because you are really talking to a machine and it listened! lmao.
