Open House is tomo on Christmas Day, so still preping for it! First time we've done this. My hubby's father passed away this past summer & his Mom is in Maine with his sister for the holiday. We've always celebrated with his extended family & really wanted to continue that tradition, but only 1 of his brothers could come. So invited some friends too. Sounds like it'll be about 20 of us & we/re just doing appetizers & desserts (my down fall as you know!). So, my plan is to give away as many as possible & to have my family help with the cleanup after so I can veg on the couch with them (instead of continuing to pick/taste/overeat/binge). Already praying about it & will breathe my way through it while enjoying the day. Merry Christmas, my Christmas Bell(a) -- how do you celebrate the holiday?

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours. I have a Sister in Wells ME. Just spent Thanksgiving with them so I will not be seeing them for Christmas. Actually I have to work both Christmas eve and day. First time in my life. Does not feel right. Anyway -- Enjoy!

Ah, I thought it was Sunday ~ so the best is yet to come? Wonderful! Especially the part about you vegging OUT instead of binging OUT :-) You deserve to relax with the family too - good for you for TAKING CARE OF YOU! Tomorrow will be very quiet aroud Bella-Wood (haha) as it'll just be MH, my little dog, and me. Thankfully MH doesn't care for the 'holiday feast' on Christmas so I won't have to do that crazy four hours of cooking and two hours of cleaning for a 5 minute meal. in fact - his holiday meal of choice: chili cheese dogs & chips. Yay for me. I usually associate 'cheese log' with 'Christmas' but after the onion dip & chips were a bust on Thanksgiving since changing the way I eat I predicted the CL would be too greasy too. So I picked out a very small portion of very expensive 'goat cheese' as my 'holiday snack' to try. Not bad ~ reminds me of greek yogurt. Gee, it's a good thing I don't ramble much, huh?? YOU HAVE A GREAT, HAPPY and VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!
