I'm going to cut back on weighing in. Today I discovered that my nearly brand new digital scale (Taylor) is a jerk. If I step on and off of it a couple times I get a couple different weights. They range about 1.4 pounds. Which isn't a whole lot in the long run, but if you are weighing day to day, like I have been, 1.4 lbs is a huge difference. I'm thinking every 3 days, enough to keep me in line, but not enough to drive me crazy!
176.8 lb Lost so far: 7.2 lb.    Still to go: 49.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Yes, weighing in every day can drive you crazy if you are not in the proper mindset. It personally drives me crazy if I don't weigh in every day, but I also am prepared for the weight variations I will have to see and deal with. (Of course sometimes I'm one of the crazy people that weighs myself several times a day to see how my body reacts before and after certain things - lol) Keep in mind that our weight will flex a bit due to water flushing/retention, regular monthly cycles, time of day you weigh, too much sodium intake, etc, etc... As long as you see a downward trend (even if there are little blips along the way) then you are on the right track.

You always have such good advice. I will need to keep those things in mind. I really just need to work on, as you said, not letting the 'blips' get to me.

It's going to be a tough battle we have ahead of us still, but you're doing great. The more you learn about food, exercise, nutrition, and how your body responds as you make those changes, the better you'll feel and the greater your success will be. Stay focused, stay motivated, and keep your eye on the prize of fitting into that beautiful wedding dress and being a smaller and healthier you!
