Hi Coach, I have never written you before. Read your profile and I do have a question for your wife (you said we could ask :-). I follow my own diet of 1500 calories or less per day. I weigh daily. Sometimes for 3 days I will steadily gain 2 or 3 ounces (which upsets me) and then drop down. Then the issue starts over again. I can't exercise right now (physical illness) but still I know I burn more that I consume. What my question is....is.... why? Why do I gain some ounces and THEN drop. Then gain ounces and drop again. Send me my bill later :-) Many thanks if you want to respond. Be well and have a good evening.

I have heard about the sleepwalking with Ambien. I took it myself a while back but stopped because it made me so sleepy in the mornings. I tend to fall asleep for about 3 hours then wake up. Go back to sleep, wake up again in 3 hours. If I ever slept for 6-7 straight hours I would probably go into shock. Wish you luck and hope the doc has some ideas for you. P.S. Like the pics of your dog. Have a wonderful evening and tell your wife thank you for her advice. I appreciate it.

Coach, look up Ambien on the internet. People do CRAZY things on that stuff...like leaving the house and driving. Be careful!

Thanks I'll look it up.

I have heard similar stories about those who take Ambien. Perhaps you could take Unisom or Tylenol PM instead?

Couch, as you can tell this is a very big problem. I also have problems sleeping from time to time and have actually found Excederin (sp?) PMs to work the best. Just take two pills 1-2 hours before bed and you'll sleep wonderfully. I have been known to sleep eat in the past (big time) but I don't have that problem with these. Best of luck! And hide the bad stuff.
