Visited my friend last night and took grilled chicken salads and lemon pie. Came home feeling exhausted and sleepy, and I know it's the sugar. Same thing this morning. We had cantaloupe, boiled eggs, and a piece of toast with jelly. Should've skipped the toast & jelly. I developed a headache and got very sleepy. Might have a touch of sleep apnea, too, since I snore because of the extra weight.
Watched an indie horror film called "It Follows" last night, so of course I had a dream about being followed. I was trying to hide in an old building that had been converted to an antique gallery. It was dark and maze-like. Was accompanied by my sister-in-law, whom I haven't seen in over a year.

Your dreams are enough to keep me awake all night long. Ha! Spooky stuff! Time to stop eating the sugary stuff. There is always the alternative sweeteners if you need the sweet taste.

Mom2Boxers, I do use Sweet & Lo in my coffee, but I've read that even artificial sweeteners are not good for you. Doesn't surprise me. If I switched to green tea instead of coffee, I'd probably feel better.

HCB, I know full well that sugar is like crack for me and makes me feel horrible. The last time I kicked it totally, I felt a thousand times better. But it is a powerful drug!

It IS powerful. I drink green tea pretty often. I do not need sweetener and it kills my appetite for a while.

Sometimes sugar makes me sleepy I am give me a headache if it's not natural sugar so I understand. The more weight you lose the less problem is you'll have a sleep apnea (that's how it worked with me). I hope you start feeling better. I normally have crazy dreams when I eat late. I normally keep my Dreamcatcher hanging on my lamp next to the bed for those occasions.
