So, going out to eat tonight. Looked at the menu. Thinking about this Drunken Steak A plump top sirloin marinated in dark ale topped with a fresh garlic and herb cream sauce.Have no idea how to log it. Does it LOOK like low carb? I'm ok with the steak, garlic, herbs, and cream. Don't know if the dark ale marinade is ok or what exactly is in the cream sauce..... HELP!

You can ask them before you order. But, honestly, one meal won't make a difference. Besides, you fasted the whole day of your procedure!

My secret to being always on or very near my ideal weight is: (or don't listen to me, No one else does :) ): IMHO, Supper is the smallest meal of the day, Break-fast is the largest, Dinner (mid day traditionally) is a good sized meal. and getting 90% of my daily calories before 2pm. Doing this I HAVE NO CRAVINGS. :0

You have lost 124 pounds in a disciplined manner so I have no doubt you will easily handle a restaurant meal. Maybe eat half and bring the other half home for another meal.

Agree with HCB. You got this. The steak sounds absolutely delish, and ask about the sauce/marinade before you order and then maybe eat half and save the other half for the next day...get it, I say! I believe you know how to be disciplined-so no, one meal is NOT going to set you back!

I googled Drunken Steak, and however it is prepared and size of steak will determine the outcome of nutrients. Maybe your restaurant has that info. You might be looking at around 4 net carbs for an 8 oz. drunkin steak.

Soooo, I had my mouth all ready for my drunken steak AND....mother in law called and invited us to dinner. She's lonely so I told my husband that's fine. OMG OMG OMG she had cavatelli, meatballs, salad, pie, ice cream. I picked out some meatballs and ate salad. I am STARVING....

Awwww! It was sweet of you to go to her house, though. I bet she fixed all your hubby's favorites. LOL!

You did the right thing going to eat with your MIL. The steak will still be drunk some other night.
