I'm a weak little baby. fasting is not my strong suit..... I have to make meals for other people. it already sucks that half of what I make I can't eat... but then not get anything when I my stomach sounds like a pack of wolves ??? uurrgg. . I gotta get better at this.....well I didn't eat from about 5pm yesterday until 12:30pm today...well I guess that's like 19.5 hours of no eating... right? don't make me math! ... so maybe I didn't do so bad. but I know I'll eat more than one meal today. perhaps only 2??? that's gotta help right?? I'll try again tomorrow with the one meal a day thing.

but ... I discovered something .... sugar free jello pudding.... if you follow the instructions it's 6 carbs per serving right? cause the fat free skim milk has 3 carbs per serving.... so instead I did one cup of heavy cream and one cup of cold water and used a hand mixer to whip it up..... so basically a pudding fat bomb lol. surprisingly it's just about 200 calories per serving ... so I ate a serving of banana pudding and now I'm full AF ... I feel like I ate a steak.... I did pair it with 4 cups of black coffee... maybe that helped the fullness ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

so still the same weight... plateau it annoying but whatever. we all go through it right? lowered calorie limit from 1350 to 1200... if I stay below that for a bit, should help? and ya ill try this one meal a day, gotta work up to it though... don't wanna end up binging all crazy like, in the middle of the night...

took it easy on exercise yesterday.. since its 1 already I probably will today too. feel sleepy.

well I suppose I rambled enough
wish you all the best :)

make the pudding...

I imagine it would be really hard to fast when you are having to prepare meals for other people. I think what you did yesterday, fasting from 5pm until lunch today is just as beneficial as a 24 hour fast and probably easier to stick with in your situation. Bottom line is you have to do what works for you. I don't know about those pudding pops, but they sure sounds yummy. Have you ever made coffee jello? You basically add unflavored gelatin to hot coffee and stick it in the fridge until it gels up. A touch of heavy cream and some stevia and it's not half bad. That might give you something semi-solid in your tummy to help you get through your morning fast.

Crawl before you walk. Walk before you run. You're ok.

Monday Tuesday an d so far today I just ate an evening meal. I still have to make my FIL breakfast and give him snacks throughout the day but it's all junk food so it makes me sick not hungry lol. So in the morning I have coffee, then 16oz water then a green tea. It takes me about 3.5 hours for that I write it down then on to the next round. I do my workouts at 4 and I'm not starving by the time dh comes home. So right now only 4.5 hours until dinner or supper, whatever u call the last meal of the day :-) I think I did 14-1600 cals in that "meal". I like it bc it seems I'm getting back in that binge habit like eat it all and I want to stop that! Geez I'm not starved I don't need to eat the whole bowl of humus or the whole bag of pork rinds ugh. Geez I starting baking those little pizzas and adding cheese then topping it w garlic salt and Parmesan then just eating the top. The whole pizza. Then I'd eat something sweet. Tsk tsk. I would do that than I'd fast for 24 and I'm like I have to stop this. I'm going to be right back up to where I started quickly. Now the weekends r hard and I'll have to wait and see how it goes. It's been 7 months and I'm still searching and experimenting. U will find something that sticks!

O_o I love encouragement. And it will take time to adjust. But you need be the one to do it. Either the food and hunger win, or you do. Not both. Other people telling you its ok, doesn't make it ok. Its sabotage. Remember, I don't care if I piss people off. What I do works. and if you stick to it, it will work for you too. It will work for anyone. I guess people are afraid of hunger. So they just give up and listen to it. Oh well.

I agree there are benefits to fasting, but on the other side doesn't hunger mean your body needs nutrients?

No, it means your mind thinks you need to eat. You don't have to listen to it. Your body does not care if you are on the edge of death from obesity. It will keep making you fatter to keep storing more fuel. YOU need to be the one to decide when to eat. Listening to hunger has made us all fat. I stopped listening to hunger. I lost 100 pounds from NOT listening to hunger. STOP listening to hunger. Your body is lying to you.

I'm doing pretty well on the one meal a day. I do drink tea with heavy cream when I feel hungry; it tides me over until the early evening meal.

I am asking cause I just had a healthy lunch of chicken veggie soup homemade with 1/2 cup rice. I used a whole chicken too so it had good fat. I felt SOOO full. then only 2 hours later I started feeling hungry and it was so distracting that I just ate a banana and some mixed nuts. Feel a lot better. But maybe i need to find a way to have more fat in my diet to hold me off longer. I would love to just stick to 3 meals a day and not want snacks

Nothing wrong with that. I would rather it be tea with cream then a full meal. Cream is fat and fat has VERY low insulin response.

the less you eat, the less you'll feel hungry too. it will go away...

Panigale, even if to help control your hunger, adding fat is the ticket. And that feeling of hunger two hours after eating is the Carbohydrate withdraw Phil and I talk about. Do not listen to it. Drink some coffee, chew some sugar free gum or something.

You can make friends with the hunger. I think the occasional wave of hunger feels like success with a side of progress! #MHYB #youreok

What helps me get through the day without caving to temptation ---------- I pack myself a kit every morning. These days it consists of 2 travel mugs of tea with cream, hot, and a quart of lemon water. I take this to work with me, so that if I feel hungry, that's what I can have. The cream and the warm tea really does kill the hunger and I can go all day, get my liquid in and make it through to dinner quite comfortably.

@FTC That actually works. Treat hunger as something else. When you tell your mind enough times that when you are hungry your burning fat, you will simply stop responding to hunger. @Erika, I do just that also. I bring two 1 liter bottles of water with my potassium and sodium mixed in and then drink about 4X 6OZ cups of black coffee. Then decaf after that.

Yeah, I've been dropping one cap of SaltStick into my lemon water. Otherwise I get foot cramps and wake up with charlie horse cramping in my calves. Also, magnesium supplement at bedtime is helping me sleep better.

misty... ya I don't want to be in the habbit of binging again... cause I hide it too like a kid afraid of being spanked... it's pathetic. so I gotta make sure I control that part of my habbits.... and the rest of you say tea and cream.... well if I can have cream then I should be fine... I thought it was no cream either and that made me wanna die ha ha ha ha

Awesome. I had the same issues before I started supplementing the electrolytes.

Hunter, I am not saying its ok. I wouldn't use it. But if you NEED to so that you don't crack and eat FOOD food, then use it as a tool and no more. Not an every time thing.
