Oh my dearest FS peeps! Some of you know how long I have been working at this. Recovery score was good this a.m. and the stars were aligned. 40 minutes, level 13 resistance, 297 beautiful watts. Maximum hr 174 bpm, average 155 bpm.

Thank you OTB & sk! We're still 3 kilowatts shy of the goal. But, dang near close! Now the next question is, was this an FTP? Believe it or not - it wasn't. I could have pedaled faster on some of the resistance levels in the program. But, I had a lower body workout couched right after this ride. And, I didn't want to toast my legs. So, I pulled back a touch but not too much. This is very close to an FTP and it is definitely a historical PR for this girl. I'm not sure I could hold this wattage for a 75 minute ride vs. a 40 minute...yet. LOL :-) Oh, and just to clarify the level on the console reads "9", which just indicates the rpm's were fast enough that I was pedaling level 13 as if it were a level 9. It assesses that for every ride I do. There are 20 levels of resistance on this particular bike. I use level 13 resistance for all my rides. I would say that past level 14 - one is just pedal stomping as they say and ya have to be careful about that because it will wear and tear on the knees.
