no pudge brownies made with zucchini and like the bread the zucchini has no taste- it’s for moisture. They’re 80 cals a pop with KA’s baking sugar alternative. The recipe is on KA’s site. I freeze and store them for my dessert.

Thanks wifey-that brownie is what I put on top of the protein sludge bowl with banana and Cliff mini bar cookie with Greek yogurt. the brownie has white and dark chocolate chips in it as well. And, it’s partly why cake and donuts are easy to avoid for me. It’s kind of hard to crave those things when I basically get a chocolate brownie banana sundae every night that hits all my protein goals with only a quarter of the cals. That being stated I’m also thankful this body has no issues with artificial sweeteners. I definitely drew a lucky card on that one.

Okay my dears, you can get to the recipe for these delicious brownies by cutting and pasting the link in the parenthesis into your browser(https://www.kingarthurbaking.com/recipes/zucchini-brownies-recipe. You can find the "baking sugar alternative" under the category for ingredients. A few things to note about this recipe - you can play with the amount of shredded zucchini vs. grams of flour. I like my brownies very cakey but if you want them more fudge like - you can add more zucchini. I use 200 grams of zucchini to 85 grams of flour. Also, I like to "roid" those babies up so I use a FULL teaspoon of baking powder. We put half dark cocoa/and half normal cocoa & we also use half dark chocolate chips/and half white chocolate chips. And, then of course we substitute the "sugar" for the "baking sugar alternative" which is zero calories. It makes about 16 brownies, which you can freeze for later. Oh, and we don't make the frosting. Anyway, don't be shy - play with it a little and find out what variation you like best. But, it must be said they will NOT be low cal if real refined sugar is used. Oh, my and I almost forgot but KA stands for none other than the King Arthur baking company. If you like to bake (especially bread) and have never heard of this company then do yourself a favor and get acquainted. And, then be prepared to hide your pocketbook in the freezer, LOL! Oh, and one last thing - for those who choose to use the alternative sugar - it is VERY finely milled so just try not "breathe" for a few seconds when you're putting it in the mixture. It does settle down :-)
