This looks great! But don’t you usually do a loaded oatmeal-type breakfast? I do, and I have some trouble keeping it within 400-500 cal with all the Greek yogurt, nuts, flaxseed, blueberries and maple syrup. I would just load that up more if I wanted it to go up in calories or protein. Or are you just looking to mix things up with two breakfast meals? I haven’t gotten bored yet with a single one, thankfully. I know two breakfasts would put me in trouble!😈 😄

Agnes most days I have a loaded oatmeal blast. I can usually get that up to about 500 calories. My first breakfast today was because I wanted to use up some ham and the cottage cheese in my refrigerator. What I am finding is I really like breakfast to be the powerhouse of my daily nutrition.

I see! For me lunch would be the meal for which I would use the must-use items in the fridge. I’m afraid I’ve become a bit superstitious about the my breakfast as the single most contributing factor to my current weight loss success. I don’t want to deviate from it one bit. It’s like a talisman, a magic potion: the thing that keeps late-day snacking monsters at bay! 😆I traveled to my mom’s for Christmas with my bag of flakes and nuts so I could keep eating my breakfast over the holidays. Yup!

Oh my goodness this looks delicious! I rarely can eat peanut butter because my son has a serious allergy so I only have it randomly if I am out somewhere at a friends house and I love it and miss it so much.

Wifey… so many nut butters besides peanuts. Can you do almond ?

Wifey a few years ago I switched from peanut butter to almond butter. It’s kinda funny because I don’t recall why I made that switch. So “gonna” revisit why and how that happened and if I “wanna’” go back to peanuts. lol

Ooops totally overlooked that this was almond butter. My bad. I can do almond butter I suppose but it’s very expensive here and might carry some risk so I don’t bother.

It looks delicious but I just don't care for bananas...

Wifey almond butter risks ? It is a common nut butter in the USA for people with peanut butter allergies. Tell me more about the risks so I can further my knowledge about food choices.

Diana the difference between me and you and other FS members is the “like” foods in our choices. Bananas are a powerhouse of nutrition, potassium, magnesium, and fiber to name a few benefits. Nutrition drives my food choices not my taste buds.

By risks I mean that it’s cross contaminated with peanuts which most tree nuts are so we are super cautious. Also, he has a level of risk with all tree nuts as well as peanuts. Easier to avoid it than be on edge with the risks. Hope you get what I’m trying to convey.

I don’t think Diana meant any controversy honee. I too see things that look delicious but it’s not my thing. Like cottage cheese. I see people eating it with fruit etc. but I can’t stand it. I guess when we all have comments turned on, it’s open for anyone to comment. Just my idea on this. Diana is a sweet lady. I know she meant nothing by it and she did say it looked delicious and it does!! 😊

Wifey food allergies are hard to manage especially in keeping children safe. I understand now what you meant. Just saying it was a risky food wasn’t clear to me what it had to do with my post. As far as Diana’s comment to me it just seems odd to say something looks delicious and then say you don’t like it. That’s an oxymoron. If it looks delicious but you can’t eat it because you are allergic that I would understand. But to say it looks delicious but you don’t like it would be like saying a well built very muscular man looks attractive to you but follow up with you don’t like very muscular men in the same sentence. How can something be delicious and attractive to you but you don’t like it at the same time ?

Easy. Presentation is done well, colorful, appealing to the eyes but not the taste. Easy to me to understand.
