Meant to post this last night. Post dinner and workout 🏋️‍♀️ dessert. My chocolate brownie banana 🍌 protein sludge bowl with a dollop of our homemade Greek yogurt. It’s a staple and a good way to get some potassium and protein in.

Okay - so protein sludge bowls are all the trend in the fits-po strength training community and I have to say, I LOVE THEM! I'm not a protein shake girl. I don't like to "drink" my cals but as body recomp folks know - ya gotta get that protein in for proper muscle repair. This sludge bowl has had many iterations over the years but it works best for my training needs especially when you're hitting bike sessions at 25 mph and then transitioning right in strength and weights. Ya take a scoop of your favorite protein powder and add it too a bowl of your preference. Add in 2 oz of almond milk (you can use greek yogurt or water as well), mix until it's like a frosting/pudding consistency. Chop a banana on top (or any fruit of your liking). I make low cal brownies using King Arthurs baking sugar alternative but you can add some other sugar free alternative treat. And, then I take a packet of the mini "cliff bar" cookies. 1 packet has 2 cookies for 100 cals (plop one on each side) and then I toss a dollup of plain greek yogurt with some chai spice on top. Oh, and I put about 1 tablespoon of sugar free pancake syrup on top just for some more added sweetness. As you can see there are a lot of ways one can play with this :-)

You're welcome wifey {{hugs}}. And Kaylin, give it a try with ingredients you like to combine. This was never skipped after 70.3 training sessions last spring and summer. It really does help to get the protein and potassium back in after long runs and cycling sessions - and it's delicious! p.s. Just make sure it's a protein powder you really like (mine is the cake pop flavor by p.e. science)

Well the dessert 🍪 looks great and the description in comments is appealing...but we got to change that name 😐🥘😅 It's so pretty 😍 and "Sludge bowl 🥣" doesn't communicate a good comparison between product and descriptor. Looks yummy 😋
