moko 13's Journal, 12 November 2023

Oops. I seem to have skipped journaling all week. I’m feeling pretty strong in mind and body but maybe I’m doing a little avoidance of emotional stress. I have work travel next week M-F and am a little bummed that I am going to be taken out of my current routine. I do so much better with a daily routine.

I am going to go into this with the acceptance that I’m not going to be doing my morning workouts but will try to do 10 minutes of stretching or yoga in the morning and at night before sleeping.

Another goal next week is to stay away from snacking all day. I tend to snack when I’m around other people so I can keep my mouth busy if I feel awkward. I am bringing lots of gum. Hotel breakfast I will probably skip because I’m not much of a morning eater. Just coffee. Lunches will probably be something I can be semi-healthy with soup or vegetables. Dinners are out so I will aim to order fish or salads as best as I can.

My average weight this week is 181.77. I am aiming for 180 next week.

I get what you mean about keeping your mouth busy when feeing awkward. I get anxious and don’t like to eat in front of others but I definitely drink. The last work party we had I ate beforehand and stuck with water. It worked great but I had to pee 3 times in the 2 hours we were there. Happy hump day!

Thanks Phoebe! I guess it’s one of those nervous habits! I do drink water and other fluids more in social settings, too. I only realized how bad I have gotten lately. So far this week I have kept the nervous eating in check but my coffee and water consumption are exponentially increased.
