on my birthday the 30th I officially started keto using mitoplex products. any thoughts? my sister in law is doing great on its she's dropping weight like crazy and her over all health has improved. I've watched her get off the walker/wheelchair and have no need for it in just months. she has great support which I'm a part of. she's given my some products to start me out. she claims to have had no keto flu using the ketones which is why I've avoided it in the past. I'd welcome some opinions especially fact based ones. for her personally I've watched her blood pressure, cholesterol and her fatty liver results get better blood work looks better than it has in yrs. and her skin looks amazing. she ibs and apparently it's not acted up one time during this. so I'm encouraged.

Experimenting with new dietary lifestyles is an exciting journey! The hope, and expectation of what this diet may or may not do for you is a thrill! Personally, I did keto combined with intermittent fasting. I wanted to quickly lose weight, but I contribute it to healing my thyroid. I used meal plans from Paleo Hacks, ACV and kept track of my macros. I lost some weight; my thyroid became normal. I never took the meds from doctor. Then, I went a carnivore route with my back injury and MCL knee injury, lost another 20 lbs. While healing trauma, I was diagnosed with an eating disorder. I had to stop dieting to heal that next. Back then, I wanted to desperately lose the weight, shortest route possible, not for me, but for my (recently now an ex) boyfriend to stop staring at other women; plus he had cheated on me. My self worth/confidence suffered. The quick fixes never came, my focus switched to healed my injuries. That's when I started on a path of getting healthy for me! Once I addressed my disordered eating, I was able to uncover what it is I want from my body, and my mind... This is something to be aware of, especially when we want success for ourselves as much celebrating another's success: what works for her MAY NOT work for you! Your sister may like to share her experience on here too; have you asked her if she's interested in joining us? There's lots of keto people here that would also love her advice on what worked for her!! My question to you is this: (you can think about it/ write it down, if you do not feel like sharing; I'm not wanting to make you uncomfortable.) What does YOUR success look like? When you envision the proverbial "end of the road", where do YOU want to be? Your sisters' success is wonderful, truly! Alas, they aren't your goals, are they? Embarking on a weight loss for bettering your own personal health is such an authentic journey. I wished I had learned that sooner for sure!! All our paths start at different points and for different reasons. Acknowledge what works/ doesn't work provides opportunity to either continue on that way of eating/do something different so we are not forcing!
