Good Monday morning friends! It's a better day. Last night's relaxation and food and wine therapy did the trick, feeling ready to take on the world again. It's funny, I drank a whole bottle of wine and indulged in half a sleeve of ritz crackers with cream cheese and homemade pepper jelly, and then woke up to the scale showing a loss of that unwelcome 3 pounds plus some! Go figure...pig out and lose weight :) BUT really, I think it was just stress and maybe I just needed to create a little body confusion. Anyway, hope everyone has a great week! Official weigh in tomorrow, so we will see what happens.

Thanks for update...Glad your planned relaxing evening brought you some much needed and much deserved RENEWAL. (LOL...if you can figure out how to do the "pig out AND lose weight"... consistently...you will have a CASH COW to market that will NOT QUIT...LOL) Keep on Keeping on, Buddy...You are doing FANTASTIC!!!!!

that's happened to me, too. very weird! as my hubby once reminded me (and glen above too!) once your head is in the right place, your body will fall into line. maybe that was just what your head needed!

I used to be in bodybuilding and followed a very strict diet for months but I was allowed 2 meals a week where I could eat anything and I always lost. It works especially if you have been on a diet for a long time. In simple terms, our bodies don't like change of any kind and after you start losing weight your body tries to hang onto the weight at a certain point. When you add extra calories here and there your body kicks into high gear and your metabolism speeds up causing weight loss. But don't take it for granted. It doesn't work every time and you don't want to fall back into old habits. Congratulations on your loss and good luck with your official weigh in.
