FASTING! well, I'm trying to be excited about it, but frankly, it's tough. I have a health assesment tomorrow with blood draw, so only water. For most people this isn't difficult because they are asleep; sadly for me, I work nights, so being up all night at work and all morning with no food or coffee or tea is very hard. Still, I can do it. On another note, it's been a whole week since I quit smoking, and so far so good. I feel a thousand times better, even if I miss it. Hopefully, the hubby will quit soon, that is what makes it the hardest. I sometimes wonder if I self-sabotage...trying to eat healthy, and quit smoking at the same time is ROUGH, but, since it's a lifestyle change and not a diet, the two seem to go hand in hand. Hope everyone is doing well!

losing weight and quitting smoking at the same time has got to be twice as hard. Most people gain weight after quitting smoking. I would think just being around other people that smoke, like your husband, would even make it harder. You must be very motivated to make all these healthy changes in your life and I hope your night job is not a stressful one. Sitting there all night long watching Health and Status from Telemetry can't be to hard. So what if you drain the satellites batteries by accident or short out a bus it is no big deal. Just practice saying... "would you like fries with that".

Thank you everyone, it means a lot to have your support! And Midnightoil, No of course there is no stress in my job; luckily if I break anything (haven't managed to make a satellite fall out of the sky yet), I'm also the one who has to fix it! Good news is, when something on the antenna breaks I get some really great excercise climbing! Also, thank you for your service and sacrifice.
