CrystalJo74's Journal, 01 April 2022

It's April Fool's Day!! Be on alert 👀😉 A new month ~ a clean slate (so to speak) and perhaps a time to reassess and 'tweak' your plan. I have done just that by choosing to go to a 'maintenance' type plan for the month of April and see how it goes.

Our journeys are ever evolving as we live & learn what works and doesn't work for each of us. The important and VALUABLE thing about FS, (besides the amazing tracking & reports features) is that we can be a supportive & encouraging community to one another at each step of the journey.

I'm pretty darn sure I'll be continuing to 'tweak' my plan over the coming days/months/years...but the CONSTANT will be that I will find a sense of 'community' and acceptance here that is just as essential to my 'plan'.

Thank you all 💙🌷💙🌷💙🌷💙

I need to think of the new month in a better mindset. March was dismal and my mental health suffered. It take all my energy to get through a day now.

New month...new start...new life (flora)...new day! Maybe just focus on 1 aspect of your weight loss 'plan' to begin with (drink more water, less processed food, etc). Sending you 🤗💙

Thanks, I keep thinking one day at a time with my marriage but it seem like a daunting task. And I either overeat or starve when I'm upset.

Crystaljo Happy Friday and thanks for sharing the low carb veggies, and I wish you the best on maintenance.

Tweaking is something I always ponder. right now it is generally just to eat more. Hope the one you are doing will bring you what you are looking for. I love those veggies. I think pepper and spinach is the ones I eat the most. Today I bought a Chinese cabbage for a change. It is very low carb I believe and very good

That is a good idea to use a maintenance plan "to feed" the body for a while - especially after a large and quick weight loss (and that is true and it was) - it is good to recharge - I did so do that for about 6 weeks in Feb and March --- and it was good - on several points - one to upgrade your nutritional concepts - because existing succesfully on a restrictive RDI - for months at a time - makes you keenly aware of such things.! Good choice as always and Good for you!

Hi Jergens123👋 I know you understand my thinking...kuz...I just KNOW! and I'm excited to see how it goes!😁

I am excited for you to see how it goes --- lol. (Yah - I got you on this one) I tried "maintenance for 6 weeks - and managed to keep it steady within a few pounds - back and forth - I really needed that and it answered my own question about how difficult that might be in some --- far away uncertain future moment --- and it was quite a good experience. I liked Maintenance !!!

I am maybe overly "self focused" at this moment - since I only have another 1.2 pounds until I reach the deemed - Holy Grail BMI of Healthy - it has been a long journey on that part ---- NOT the final goal but such a marker on the Way - I may Just fall on the floor and make a floor angel ---- since there is a lack of snow in here.

@Jergens123...that's the thing...I was aiming for the 'normal' range for BMI and reached it a while ago. Time for a bit of a break....
