Salute to Secrets of Saturday Snackin Success! 🙋‍♀️👍

It's the weekend and we pretty much KNOW there's gonna be some snackin' goin' on 🤷‍♀️ but here's some ideas for snacks that are 'better' choices for our nutritional weight loss success.

If you have the time, PLEASE try to make one of these snacks and POST it to your wall (cuz real photos are WAAAAY better than drawings, right??) and let us know if it was a 👍 or 👎 at your house, ok?

There's nowhere else I've found that has a more welcoming community than right here on FS. A community where we can show off our culinary skills (& experiments🤔), share our WEIGHT (I would NEVER do this in a less accepting/understanding community), dare to expose our failures & proudly share our tiniest successes.

WAY TO GO, my FS family!! Let's continue to support, encourage, educate & build each other up! Oh...and have a great weekend too!!💙💙💙💙

Where is the popcorn Crystal?😁 4 cups only 140 calories. 🍿😋😋👍

@Pinay...it DOES have lots of protein!! (if you can 'afford' the calories) 😉 Plus, 2 cups is a pretty large serving, right?

@Shrew...SO RIGHT! It's my 'go-to' nightly snack too. (I think they were just trying to think 'outta the box')😉

@Buenita...was it the first time you had tried it?

Totally agree. At that time I was in the longest plateau ever. Until I looked at how much calories I was putting in my body and some foods had to make the cut. Even though this cereal was loaded with fiber and protein but the calories were whew too much.

@Pinay...sometimes we gotta pick & choose! I haven't had that cereal, but it might be just great for a 'treat' once in a while 🌷 (of course, same could be said for the Capn Crunch - except for maybe sugar comparison)

I used to make granola, but yowza it was a lot of calories for something that didn't keep me full very long. My go to snacks at the office are pistachios, roasted edamame, seed crackers, and raisins

@writingwyo...I agree that granola is MIGHTY high in calories, but oh - SO GOOD! I haven't had any for over 6 months now, but it's a treat I look forward to adding occasionally to my regimen when I get to maintenance level and have more calories to spare😁

Boxed cereals, granola -- they just set up a cascade of eating for me. Oatmeal, though, keeps me full. At some point, I should probably make some granola for my stick thin husband, since he really likes it, but limit myself to just a sprinkling on yogurt here and there. I'm getting better and better all the time about limiting trigger foods
