When I first started this app, I didn’t know how to use it. Originally, I started in November 2015, I weighed 309 lbs. It looks like I only used the app to count calories for about a month and maybe didn’t weigh in again? Maybe I deleted them? Anyway, in my head, I felt like I really used the program. Then I started again in June 2017 – now a whopping 344 lbs! Again, I can only find one month of calorie count and no additional weigh ins. This year, I once again tried to restart this journey. I started on March 1 with a visit to the PA. I weighed in at 370 lbs! Oh my gosh! I am so ashamed to write this! I was so unhealthy, embarrassed, ashamed and sad to weigh that much! The med asst was kind to me and recorded my weight as 367, because I was wearing steel toed work boots (as per usual). Full disclosure: my journey started in January with a very hard conversation with my mom. She forced me to take a hard look at my weight. She offered to loan me the money for gastric bypass. When I was using this app, I didn’t realize that every weigh in was sent out to all of you. I was so scared. I went private for a few weeks. Then I saw a post about some trolls using the private setting. I didn’t want to be that guy! So, back to “share” and allow comments. There were SO many reasons that I needed to make a change in my eating habits.
Personal – A1C level into “prediabetes” level, unable to go on an airplane without a seatbelt extender, not able to use the facilities on the airplane, hate shopping, unable to walk any distances at all, not able to stand long enough to cook dinner, or do any housework, falling asleep every time I sat down, unable to clean the backside for hygiene
Professional – again unable to walk distances, must keep the truck nearby
Recreational - not able to go on a jet ski with friends cuz I was unable to fit into the lifejacket and I was afraid I couldn’t get back on if I fell off, not wanting to go anywhere or do anything.....
