I Don't make all those goodies Brenda I try to stay away from the temptation because me and my husband will be eating all that good stuff.

buenitabishop, I give almost all of it away and what I don't my grandkids eat and my husband I guess I just have good willpower. 😆

I love to bake! The amount you've made is crazy! I have pretty good willpower for it. I don't eat any of it while I'm making it. I have had a few cookies & a little bit of "cracker jack" popcorn. I give it away to neighbors, friends & family. It’s an easy gift.😋

I bake and cook but I actually make token amounts to give to people. Almost NO ONE thAT I know needs this type of stuff, either from a health point of view or a weight point of view. Everyone here comments that overeating and sweets has been a problem since childhood and here we are making dozens of cookies, breads, candies, etc. to give to people who have their own weight issues and health issues. It’s hard to find that balance. Enjoying the Hollidays from a food point of view is tricky.

You are very lucky then Brenda.nana. I have learned to make things like breads in miniature size. Cute, fun and a token to someone’s favorite , tasty thing.. I also try to give things that will freeze well for the future when there isn’t such a glut of stuff around. I also am working on the art of packaging so that the boxes or paper mache containers become an inedible part of the treat along with six cookies or a mini loaf of bread or cake. Time consuming but fun. There are so many fun recipes to make. Too bad Santa can’t remove all the calories, sugars, fats, cholesterol and carbs. That doesn’t seem like so much to ask for does it.?

I bake too and am trying hard to not eat them. Good for you for only eating 2 cookies.

Family recipes of treasured baked goods and meals. We all wanted grandma's church cookbooks, bread pans, lefse grill, rolling pins. You should make it a holiday tradition to teach your children and grandchildren those skills. Someday they will look back and wish they had spent time in the kitchen with you. Happy Holiday to you !

I don't bake cookies so much. However, I do like to bake scratch breads, rolls, & pastries. I'll be working on a new recipe for flaky buttermilk biscuits today. My wife is the cookie, cupcake and cake baker in the house (with the help of granddaughters, of course).

TXsnowman, that's great all the cookies that I made today and all the candies I made the last few days will be even leaving my house tomorrow and go to everybody else's house tip of the ones that I keep here for my husband!

Well you already know I baked. I've been averaging 2 cookies a day. You are doing great and it's nice that you bake for everyone in your family. After I did all that baking my husbands family decided they weren't going to bake this year. No exchange but I'm glad I still baked and was able to give my cookies to them. 💜💜
