I made homemade lemonade for my kids yesterday as a special treat. Almost all things are good in moderation. :)

I think that, if you are already consuming refined sugar, then a lemonade does not represent any especial problem. Also, when it's homemade, you have control over the amount of sugar that goes in it. That's a good thing! But these commercially sold lemonades have tons of refined sugar in it. It almost tasted like syrup now that my taste-buds have adapted to a sugarless diet lol. I do think that refined sugar is one of those things you can live without (health-wise) but I acknowledge that many people live a long time while consuming it and also that it's very tempting psychologically speaking heheh. I have to admit that I also don't know for how long I will be able to resist sweets but I try not to think about that much heheh.

We still consume sugar but I still always add less then things call for.

I think that you already benefit a lot from doing that! :) I'm the type to go all or nothing lol. I can't just eat a little sugar or quantity of sweets. If I touch it, I'm going to inevitably exaggerate heheh :)
