Diea's Journal, 10 January 2014

I made the horrible mistake of buying ice cream! Low-fat, slow churned vanilla bean was my poison of choice. For that last two nights, I've been increasing my daily caloric intake by going to my freezer to eat half a cup of ice cream right before bed time. Ugh. It's so good. I feel bloated!

I've had no significant weight gain, but have had no weight loss either!!! :(

Yep, sweets will spike your insulin. You get sugar crashes, and then you feel the need to eat more to replenish your sugar in your blood. Since I stopped eating sugar, I've never felt bloated anymore. And I drink lots of whole milk ;)

I know exactly what you're talking about! Thankfully I didn't get sugar crashes those nights I had an extra dessert, but remember those moments of post-sugar binging quite well.

I'm talking with a sugar-ban veteran here, heheh. There was a point when I stopped eating ice-cream (not intentionally but by chance) and I started to feel ice-creams were too sugary for me but I noticed that, on occasions when I would eat more of it, this feeling would quickly go away and be replaced by a need for more :))
