I didnt feel well yesterday. Maybe induction flu. I was starving all day. Nothing could satiate my growling belly. Low energy. Decided to eat a few more carbs. Still stayed just at 20 but ive been getting 10-12 a day. Still satyed close to rdi . I didnt want to kick myself out of ketosis or pack on any extra weight. Possibly could have been brought on froma high salt intake on Sunday, as I was extremely thirsty as well. I feel better today. Ready. Ive increased my water quite a bit and I think I'll keep it that way. I was drinking about 64 ounces a day, but am going to try for around 88-90 ish. Hope that helps. I feel skinnier today. Weigh in tomorrow so im going to be extra careful today.

At 161# I would try to drink at least 100oz of water daily. I read a long time ago whatever your weight is divide by 1.5 and that is what your oz per day should be at a minimum. If you get hungry, stay away from the carbs and eat more protein/fat. That will help satisfy you more and keep you feeling fuller longer.

Mj....thank you....I really wasnt sure if more carbs or more fat/protein would make me feel better...theres such confusing info on the to eat/or not to eat 20 grams on induction....if it happens again today I will give more fat/protein a go....

Try some bullion. For some reason - it appears to help with the Induction flu and for me - it will quiet the crave... Also, when craving - try eating some brie cheese. The creamy texture tends to help curb the cravings and the fat content is really good for that as well. I too generally drink around 3 litres a day. Sometimes I get up to 5 and others I don't get but about 2. It really seems to depend on how easy it is to get it. For some reason, the more I drink the thirstier I get. Strange but - that is me I guess. Always the odd one

I think it is the same but could be wrong. I prefer the beef bullion cubes. They are yummy and seem to work for me

Okay I'll get some and give it a go (perks of living next to a grocery store, plus gives me a reason to walk a little) thanks Alex

alex had some great suggestions - and I don't know if you like cheese but brie is delicious! I also find avocados and macadamia nuts are great snacking choices. They help to keep the growlies away!!!

Totally drink as much water as you can...I've been on very low carb for over a month now and feel just fine, but of course I'm having a tough time incorporating fat...I've been using a teaspoon of heavy whipping cream in my protein shakes and eating lots of eggs. Also heard that eating a handful of almonds is good?? Of course avocados are super yummy :) Keep up the good work...it gets easier.

Muffin, for the broth - you can make homemade a lot cheaper and filled with a lot more nutrients. Whenever you cook a roast, or whole chicken, etc., keep the leftover liquid - fat and all, keep any big bones - like bone in roast or the big bones in a chicken. Put all of it into another soup pot and add water at least to fill pot more than half full. Simmer it for several hours adding water as needed to keep it above half full. Then remove bones and either place the stock (bone broth is what my gma called it) in a container for the fridge or freeze it for later use. When you go to use it as a drink I mix half with half water and reheat. If you use it as soup stock you use 3/4 to 1/4 broth/water; and for lc gravy you use as much as you need for gravy and then add in 1/2c HWC.
