I can't wait to see the new you! I think the dating sites is a great idea! Its time to get out and enjoy your life - and its always nice to share that with someone else. 

That's great you got some pictures you're happy with. I found that I'll like 1 in 30 pictures taken of me. The thing is that they do that with models too. They take 100 frames and pick one or two that they actually use. So I don't feel so bad. :) I'm trying to find ways to be less self-critical. You definitely should put up the pictures that you like most. Get your sister's and your BIL's opinion too, but go with what you l like the best.  

Thanks for the kind words - I had like 30 pictures taken too. One on the balcony is especially nice. There are some on the hill out back that came out OK. So much better than the indoor photos - which were too dark. I'll use many on one site as one dating site you can post quite a few. No one is perfect. And models photos are air-brushed to get out all their imperfections - as are actors and actresses on magazine covers. I probably will do induction around the first week of December for a month or two to lose around another ten pounds as the photos show my face is pudgy a bit for my weight. (I was so heavy it'll take a time for my face to be really thin again perhaps). But my friends remember a really bloated me and say I'm thin enough. I'm OK, but was very thin when I was a young man. :) 

Glenn, it may take a little while for your face to "settle" so to speak, and that "pudgy" look to go away. 20 years ago, I lost a lot of weight and I thought that my face was still fat and I wanted to lose more. My doctor advised that I wait 6 months to see if it didn't look better. He said that my body would be in the process of "redistribution" with fat...as well as for the elasticity of the skin to return. He told that it can take up to 2 years after a great weight loss for the body to "redistribute" and get used to the new weight. He was right. Six months later my face did look thinner and everyone thought I was losing weight again.  

Thanks - I may lose more anyway. I still have a gut. Thanks for the insight. Tonight a relative told me another relative going through a health crisis didn't want to hear about my weight loss success anymore. (Other people bring it up not me when this person is around). My relative said this person can't lose weight. No attempt there either. A group of them eat - I was over last time and had to go into the store after we went to a restaurant to get all the dessert foods for them to return to somebody's house. SORRY. I didn't go. I don't eat sugar anymore. Very rarely. A friend is bringing me a plate of Thanksgiving Dinner home from her relative's house next week as I have no one who cares where I go. She knows not to bring me dessert. The dating scene is heating up. I live near five major colleges, and even though I posted my income as low even college girls are contacting me and I'm 46. My mother said stay away. I'm grown up and will date whoever I want and my mother doesn't even let me visit on holidays so she or my dad sure aren't going to tell me who I can date after I went through the struggle to lose all this weight!!! :) 

your weight loss and new phase in your life is so exciting, some people are bound to be mean spirited about it or jealous and some people will be inspired, i certainly am! wow college girls eh? never say never i say...just enjoy yourself, have an open heart and i'm sure you'll meet the lady of your dreams! 

You have done amazingly well and you are very inspiring. Enjoy the dating sites but stay away from us college girls, just joking. =) I loved the fact that you mentioned yourself standing in a place where lots of history took place. I love history and I find it fascinating. When I visit historical landmarks, I try to see it for what it was not what it is now. Sounds like you live in a beautiful place! 

I imagined the history - I'm sure it's true though. So much history has taken place in my town - I wrote a book about the colonial period in the 1600s and 1700s in the area that I'm proofreading now. My mom said I'm looking for an argument because I won't stay away from college girls. Seriously - I'm not wealthy - yet. So they're looking for fun. So am I. I will be flattered if a college girl finds my profile interesting enough to contact me. Hopefully, they'll like my photo(s). How many men my age who are successful are running around with young women? I lost all this weight. I'll do what I want. Many women my age are looking for a successful man. So many woman on the sites are very beautiful - they are like doctor's and lawyer's and politician's and celebrities' wives. I know it would be hard to keep such a woman without money as they're used to high-maintenance treatment. A lot of these women have contacted me too. I had a roommate in Hawaii with four girlfriends at once and he had no car and no money and so I know I can be careful and have fun, though I won't be that crazy. Living there was CHAOS. LOL :)
