I am trying so hard to be good after so many weeks/months of sabotaging my weight loss (I’ve gained back 15 pounds) we have moved twice and sent my oldest son on a 2 year church mission in the last few months and the stress has gotten the better of my eating/exercising routine. I am struggling ...my mil made me an amazing dense chocolate cake with chocolate mousse, whipped cream and strawberries on top for my birthday (which is Saturday). If I eat one small piece I want another and another ugh I can not control dessert consumption! Don’t say “portion control” I’m not good at that with dessert and treats which is why I’m where I am and why keto worked well for me—all or nothing is kinda my groove. I did spend an hour at the gym today and Monday and I know fitting easily back into my jeans will feel better than any dessert tastes, it’s a tough choice in the moment.

You are good! The weight graph will turn around because you are addressing it. All the maintainers here that I follow have to constantly work on it and you are doing that. Just a course correction needed. Most of your post was about the amazing cake and I think you should cut out a piece and all the pieces that you know your family may like and just give away the rest. It is what I do if I have a problem food (and I have many) Happy birthday!!!

I know all about that darn struggle, sometimes it is so hard to stick to the plan but I find that when you start to get into cloths that you have not seen for a few years it gives you the incentive to keep going... you can do this!
