Sometimes, when you aren't losing weight at a rapid pace, it becomes harder to stay on track. I can only encourage you to go back to those old journals and look for the the discoveries you made along the way - the set of stairs that are not a challenge for you, the ability to tie your shoes without breathing hard, the ability to cross your legs (a big one for me!!) Don't lose faith. This is a process and every right thing you do improves your health and well being. Just keep going - onward and downward!!

Definitely. It's so easy to write the goal as 'I want to lose 10,20,30lbs, etc' but I feel it's important to define what achieving the goal will bring. OR ... as we used to quote from Special K "What will you gain when you lose?" I may reiterate this on my journal. I need the reminder too.

How do you know what amount of protein, fiber, fat and carbs and stay at? I am eating 1500 calories a day...
