I was hungry when I got up this morning, my stomach actually growled. I had fasted from 6:30 yesterday until I got up late at 8:30. I meant to have just Keto coffee for breakfast, but my husband asked me to cook an egg for him, so I scrambled 3 eggs to share with him, burned one pan of bacon and threw it out, then cooked one more piece each. Mixed my Keto coffee without any sweetener, with coconut oil and almond milk, and a tbsp of cocoa powder. I ate about 10:00 am.
For lunch I had two slices of bacon about 1:00 and hurried off to fill in for someone at the library from 2-6. I drank a cup of green tea about 3:30.
Came home tired, didn't feel like cooking, so planned on Keto coffee, but husband said he would cook pork chops and the squash he picked today. Very nice! He's a good cook! So while he cooked, I had my dessert first, blueberries mixed with some canned peaches, with fat-free, sugar free spray-on whipped topping, and a handful of peanuts.Plus a chocolate peanut butter fat bomb! Very satisfactory! I must have forgotten to write down some food -- only 1073 calories! I was actually down to 184 this morning, but I'm not counting that yet. I'll wait to see what the scales say for my official weigh-in tomorrow. This morning's sugar check was high again, 215 the first time I checked, and then just before breakfast, it was 225. That was very unsatisfactory!!!

Sounds like those high morning BS readings might be "Dawn Syndrome." The liver goes into "starvation defense mode," converting stored glycogen to glucose and dumping it directly into the small intestine via the biliary network. For the time being, a very small protein-and-fat (no carbs) might work. Suggestions: Galbani string cheese -- while milkfat mozzarella, no starch additives (7g protein, 7g fat, 0g carb, 90 calories); OR a hardboiled egg (4g fat, 6g protein, 0g carb, 60 calories).

Thanks Miraculum. BS was 201 again this morning. I might need to only eat that fat bomb for lunch, not evening snack. I will look for Galbani string cheese. Also I might carry some string cheese in my purse when I go to the baseball game on Saturday.
