Not any better, in fact I just got back from seeing a second Ortho specialist and totally ruining my diet at a Sonic Drive-in (but OH how those chili cheese tater tots & milkshake made me momentarily happier). He told me the meniscus is damaged beyond repair and wants to remove it all. With my age/current weight, he doesn't recommend the allograft replacement. So I have more pain, degeneration and osteoarthritis to look forward to. I'm still quite upset right now and even considering a third opinion.

check out stem cell option - I am checking into that myself - I basically had knee destroyed (2 total ligaments torn, 1 2/3 torn and 1 1/3 torn indoor soccer on new astroturf, what a joke - surgery back in 1981 and I am looking into doing the stem cell stuff very soon - I will keep you up on it as I learn - Also glucosomene is a good for joints -

Research stem cell carefully before you spend the money. A friend of mine had it but it didn't work. She thinks maybe it might have if her knees weren't so far gone (bone on bone). She is in her early 50's.

Sorry to hear your news! Keep a positive attitude and keep determined! there is always faith in healing and believing it can be done is the first step, something good will come even if it does not seem so right now.
