Well... I don't know what to say. I am all over the place with my foods.. I'm doing my best to not be out of control.. but really I'm not in control. I had italian last night and it started out.. sorta innocent.. eggplant parmesan (still not the healthiest for me.. but not the worst)BUT it came with spaghetti on the side.. I ignored the spaghetti and ate my whole salad before i even started in on the main course (the eggplant was MEGA hot) and then I started to eat my eggplant and before I knew it I was diving into the spaghetti and then (cue the scary music) I had the bread!!! ACK!!!!!!!!!!! WTH! Just all very mechanical wasn't even paying attention and suddenly the food was in my mouth!! Have to say.. can't say any of it tasted bad.. but i felt guilty. grrrrr Have to somehow get a hold of things. I was so so so so super in the beginning I can honestly say my first whole 3 weeks I had not a slip up at all.. I had given away EVERYTHINg that was bad for me my pantry and fridge were empty.. I bought alllll kinds of things to eat and everyday it was lovely to get up and have my little breakfast and pack up multiple snacks for the day and hit the road with an extra spring in my step.. now I'm struggling with even thinking of snacks.. I never seem to pack anything anymore except the occasional lunch. I just am off. I have constantly upped my exerise and I'm proud of the progress there and funny enough even though my weight has been the same for nearly a damn month people keep commenting that now they are seeing the changes in me.. SOOOOO I HAVE to get back on it. Have to stick with it. Do something! I'm not going to quit this.. but I seem to like detours at time. I'm doing this for me and I'm not where I want to be yet so I need to turn around and find where I got off my path and jump back on and hang on for dear life!!!
Ohhhh what a dramatic journal today!! LOL!! Love y'all!!!

Stacy, I don't know that many who could honestly say they were never weak. It happens to us all from time to time. If it were easy we'd all be thin. You have already made the 1st step - you are here. Go shopping, get some good healthy foods, prepare some meals and don't let yourself slip. Getting back on is a task in and of itself, but you can get there. We are all here for you. I know I am!

Stacy, They are right at least you see it and want to get back on track. I feel for you though. Last night I didn't do so good. We went for Chinese and although I tried to stay towards the proteins and a few veggies I know those sauces were not good for me. I did avoid the egg rolls and the wontons and the crab rangoon (all of which I love) but the scale showed it today. I usually do well when we go out to eat. But that is if I have an actual meal. If I order something that comes with a potatoe or rice or in your case pasta of course I try to see if I can substitute it for something but sometimes that doesn't work. If you can't avoid it what I usually do is remove it from my site right away. For example I was in that situation twice over the weekend. I went to a banquet Saturday night that served a large grilled pork chop, green beans, baked potatoe, rolland salad. It was a great meal for me except the potato and roll. They just brought the food to our table, no ordering so I couldn't request they not bring it. The first thing I did was give my roll to my husband and asked anyone if they wanted my potatoe. Nobody wanted it so I wrapped it up and took it off my plate and placed it off to the side so it was out of my mind. Got some strange looks but I didn't care. Then Sunday night we went to mexican. I got fajitas that came with a salad, rice and beans. I took the rice, beans, and tortillas and pushed them off to the side. I ate the meat, onions, and green peppers from the fajitas and the salad and it was yummy. Both times I took what I didn't eat home for my husband. Made good sides for him since he won't do this diet with me. Just a couple of tips (even though I have my fall backs too at times). I hope they help.

Nino you are amazing! I often go places and order the fajitas and make sure I just toss the cheese and stuff onto the skillet and stay away from the rice and beans and tortillas but at a Chinese place I think I would have lost some strength... so GO YOU!!! Great job!! Thank you for the little tips they are ALWAYS appreciated. Great job! Thank you everyone.. I love the cheerful positive responses and not being berated for slipping here and there..

You know though, I bet you're still losing inches even if you aren't losing pounds. You're doing really good, and you know what you need to do to do your best. You can totally do this girl!

Awww Jess thank you! You and the other ladies (and men) around here are such awesome cheerleaders.. it's like you bring the sunshine with you! All the positivity is sooooo appreciated. Love it! I have lost a more.. even though I dont measure (yes I just don't) but some of my pants are literally just barely staying up and my new smaller ones are getting that looser feeling too sooo i always do my happy dance with these things.. now As those parts are shrinking I am trying to get my arms to shrink.. SHAKE WEIGHT! lol!

Nino, I can't recall who said it, but someone was talking about what they do when the no-no foods come to the table. They instantly cover it with oodles of salt/pepper and any other thing so it would no longer be edible. But any time you can do it - ask that they not bring it at all. I love Mexican food beyone belief and if I were enjoying some of it with the rest in front of me, I wouldn't be able to ignore it. I HAVE to request they not bring it.
