(or, "Keep digging, there's chicken in there somewhere!")
Hard to tell where the breading ends and chicken starts in these lovely "Sysco Breaded Chicken Patties, Cooked" that we were served for today. Actually, the kitchen was nice enough to give me these for dinner as an alternate to the alternate, otherwise I would have be SOL. Anyway "ground chicken" is more balanced with fat.
It was going to be a day with 0.13g carbs. Just as I was typing in the final touches for the day,
"Carbs=0.13g Net C=0.13g 57% RDI (Barring any surprises)",
a nurse dropped by passing out DAIRY QUEEN DILLY BARS!!! Especially awful because I'd had only 0.13g carbs AND COULD HAVE SCARFED ONE DOWN AND STILL BE UNDER 30g FOR THE CHALLENGE. I wavered.
I decided instead to have a second de-breaded chicken patty and to "splurge" with a 1/4 tbsp of LaoGanMa Fried Chili in Oil Sauce. Shocking, I know.
So instead the carb scoreboard for the day is:
Carbs=1.27g Net C=1.07g
