Ideal Weight's Journal, 29 January 2017

So annoyed with myself. I've only been tracking calories for 15 days and I've only stayed on track for seven of them. Of the eight days I did go over it was by one hundred calories or so, but some days I really pigged out. Today was one. I did so good, but got hungry in the late afternoon... instead of having a little snack I decided to wait until supper. Of course, by then I was ravenous and went totally overboard. I hate days like this. Instead of motivating me to do better, it makes me want to throw in the towel. Ugh.

Also, tomorrow at work is our Superbowl potluck. There will be way too much food. I don't need a test of my willpower when I'm already feeling so sorry for myself.

Hey you stayed on track 7 days and only went a little over the rest of the days. Every day is a learning experience and now you will have the snack instead of waiting for dinner. Don't give up, you can do it. Soon it will all become habit if you don't beat yourself up over every slip.

Very true don't let some not prefect macro days throw you off track that stuff will happen just try to eat something when you are hungry before you get ravenous. Listen to that body if its telling you feed ME! eat something. Just have some go-tos snacks on hand for those times. Some people do have cheat days to help with the carvings as well boost levels in your body from going in survival mode if you have been on a low calorie intake for so long. Key to this process for me is make sure the healthy things I'm eating taste good and are enjoyable, not choking down something that I don't like. Plus if you feel super hungry, smash a low calorie filler with your meal like greens or a veg. butternut squash is great one I use. Stay positive you'll get there just hang in there,Good luck

Always carry a low sugar cereal bar with you for emergencies like this. It will have 100 kcal but it will save you 400 kcal at the dinner table.
