the truth is we are called to love. to be patient, gentle, kind. We are called to forgive. We are called to love as God loves, not as the world lives. God's love takes different forms. Love honestly. Love the person, don't flatter them. Love yourself, enough to know that you do not have to love every hurtful thing about others. Love them enough to forgive them & start over, just as Jesus loves you enough to let you start over. Love God enough to want and recognize what is best. Love yourself & others enough to expect the best, but love yourself & others enough to forgive when the best is not done. Love God. Trust him with everything. Amen.
