I spent two and a half weeks at my friend's house, and she had a scale, and an abundance of junk food. In those two and a half weeks, I watched myself gain ten pounds, because we had a "lazy day" just about every day. Now I'm home and trying to get back on track.

I find that being on a strict/serious diet and spending lots of time with friends (who are not) takes a lot more discipline than being around similarly minded friends. It's really hard to say "no" when it is in a social setting because it's become a way for some friends to bond and feel closer by physically sharing something together. You just have to either stay away from such high risk situations or go in with a courageous mindset of: This is going to take discipline but I'm going to prove to myself I can do this by resisting! Each of those small victories will empower you. If you are not at that place then I'd advise against spending weeks straight with that particular friend! Get back on track, you can do it!

Thank you so much for commenting, I appreciate the advice :) The thing was, it was a friend that was only in this area for a while because she was at her mom's house, she had moved away a while ago, so I was hoping to spend as much time with her as possible. And, we pretty much just stayed in the house all the time, so in addition to not getting exercise, we were also "bored munching". I just bought some new pants that I would have fit in before my trip there, and I don't now, so that's just more motivation to lose weight :) THANKS SO MUCH!
