I finally decided to post my weight. My plan for 2023 was to post my weight every Sunday with a goal of 1 pound a week. The last time I wrote the date and weight was 2 months ago and I'm up 2 pounds and down just 9 pounds for the year. I am trying to get back on track and actually lost over a pound in the past week. I have decided to not worry so much about not eating processed foods. It's hard to me and I tend to get off track easily. So although I am still trying to eat more "plants" I also am not going to put so much pressure on myself. I had a few successful diets in the past have a Lean Cuisine and an apple for lunch, dry cereal for snacks. I went to Winco at the beginning of the month and was so excited to see prices that aren't insanely high. It was so nice to see crackers that weren't $6 a box. And to find things available in the freezer section that I like to stock up on - chicken pot pie and single servings of Stouffer's lasagna. I bought lots of stuff, over $200 so my grocery budget has been low the rest of April.
We have finally reached temperatures in the 80's after a very long and cold (for my part of northern California) winter. Now I have to get used to the a/c running nearly 24 hours a day. After having a huge oak tree cut down last year the deck gets too hot to walk on and the master bedroom too hot to sleep in. I hope to get a large umbrella for the deck and am crossing my fingers that helps. I can't afford to have a deck cover or roof built right now. So far today is a beautiful day, not too warm - just right at 11am.
