jemimah03's Journal, 16 January 2015

I feel so great about myself today. Today was weighing day YAY!!!
I started my weight loss journey on Jan 6th- a day after my 2nd year wedding Anniversary. I discovered that i no longer fit into any of my dresses, i feel full and bloated, sluggish and unhappy with my shapeless figure. As at When i started this journey i weighed 76kg, a far cry from what i used to weigh - 57kg/60kg.
But guess what! In just 9 days i lost 4kg and several inches!I weighed 72kg today!!!

I feel so great, but i know i still have more to do and i am determined to get there. 15kg to go...Yes i can!
158.7 lb Lost so far: 17.6 lb.    Still to go: 15.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 0.6 lb a week

Good Morning Jemimah. I have just read your journal for today and I have to say I like your attitude which shows determination. Unlike you my dear,I am a 73 year old ugly looking wrinkly in UK and am also on the flab fighting mission. Like you I am determined and dedicated to achieve my first goal. My I wish you luck with your journey and god speed to success. xoxo

Hi pretty Mama! Thanks for your comment and appreciation. I truly really envy u more, as you are still determined and not giving up even at 73 YEARS!!!!!! You are a pretty Mama all the way, cos you love life and still love to live it. Old age is not ugly and wrinkly. it is graceful and special and you should know that the word Ugly is under the mistake section of the dictionary, it does not exist! lol lots of love from Nigeria!

Well I have never been called "Mama" before this is so novel but in Nigeria it must have a different meaning to UK where it means "Mother". I have no clue what "Give up " means but from your comment it must be something terrible so I will leave that one alone. Age is relevant to the mind and the motivation. Whilst my body is 73 (74 in a few weeks time) my mind is only 30 and disabled or not I keep going just as I know you will keep going and you will reach your target with a beaming smile on your face. I look forward to that. May God speed.

Oh i see...but we call an older woman "Mama" in Nigeria as a sign of respect. "Mama" also sometimes mean a "Dear mum".
