Was very happy on Saturday to be very close to my goal, but i will give it a chance for a couple of weeks before i consider this project close - I think I am finally rid of my body clutter! Now, I am always looking for new things to do or read and next project is to declutter my wardrobe...I'm finding it difficult to get rid of clothes i bought a year or max 2 years ago because they are still good but the fitting is not flattering anymore... I thought of taking some to the dressmaker for alterations but i think i am better off donating them....so, to help me through this stage ( I half heartedly tried last weekend but backed out) i was browsing on closet decluttering and came across this really motivating website on how to declutter the house not just my wardrobe. She is the Flylady and she sounds just like my mother (god bless her soul). She explains how to clean, but really clean by setting a timer for a specific job like tackling one drawer, or the bathroom and she gives daily tasks for morning routine and evening routine. I started yesterday and I am very pleased with myself :)! At least I am harnessing my newly found energy from the weightlessness instead of starting to train for a race, which i was really considering doing but I'd rather wait it out until I can honestly say I am injury free. So my new project is decluttering the house slowly, allocating 15 mins in my lunch break, 30 mins in the morning and 15 mins at night. I am very surprised at how effective these short bursts are, it's like interval training! Her website is Flylady.net, so go and check it out my friends- Don't be taken into buying the products cos it's very tempting! but hey, if it makes you happier, go for it! I just keep reminding myself i have to pay taxes and duty to get the stuff over so I'll try and use what i've got so far.
