So I started following a diet recommended by the gym. I'll try to do it for at least 2 weeks, maybe 4 depending on how long the whey protein powder lasts. The diet is super high in protein, with a limited amount of complex carbs allowed each day. I know that its not a diet I'll follow for life but I'm hoping it will jump-start my weight loss in conjunction with the exercising with a trainer that I'm doing now at the gym. On a good note, I ran, for the first time ever, one whole mile around the track at the local high school in 17 minutes. I dislike running, especially outside, so I was proud that I was able to do it without stopping. THEN, last night at the gym after the work out I got back on the treadmill and jogged a mile in 14:58! For a non-runner I am very proud of myself! Now if I can only get down to a manageable weight and feel better about myself that way! Working on it slow but sure.
138.5 lb Lost so far: 10.5 lb.    Still to go: 8.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
