Trying not to be too discouraged by the uptick. I always struggle with low carb, I just have never gotten the results I've seen in other people. Gonna stick with it for now, but have been researching Jorge Cruise's plans since he was touted by my bf, Dr. Oz. Might try it to see what kind of results I get. I always have the HCG with VLCD as a fallback. I lose it consistently and super fast that way, but I'm really looking for something I can incorporate into more of a lifestyle change.

Need to get more fiber into my system for sure and try to drink more water. The no eating after 7 challenge is proving to be a lot harder than I thought. Sometimes its hard to get dinner on the table by 7. I may need to modify it to 8 based on my work schedule. But even accomplishing that will still be something. Ok..gotta get chores done.

May I ask what the HCG with VLCD is? I understand your plight with not eating after 7pm as I work and go to school and eating good in between is difficult, so I'm used to making something when I get home from my classes. So is that rule still true even if it's something like fish or salad?

I am right there with you. Sometimes low carb is easy...for the first couple of weeks, then it becomes a struggle. I do well for 20 pounds, then can't seem to lose an ounce.

Hang in there!Carbs are my weakness, so I can relate. I'm trying to eat a more balanced diet with more greens and grains. We are all in this together and we will prevail! Have a great day!

Thank you guys, I appreciate the encouragement. Joyluck, HCG with VLCD is the hormone HCG (derived from the urine of pregnant women) injected daily and accompanied by a VLCD (very low calorie diet) of 500 calories per day. Its a diet protocol started by Dr. ATW Simeons. Its a great diet for taking off massive amounts of weight very quickly, on average about a half to a full pound per day. The HCG keeps you from feeling hungry. I also heard about this diet from Dr. Oz. I was very successful, losing more than 70 lbs in a short time. The diet, followed correctly, definitely works. The problem is that it does nothing about the habits that got you fat in the first place. That's why I'm reluctant to do it for a quick fix again. I'd rather take it more slowly and try to make a lasting change. If you're interested in reading more about the HCG diet, google "Pounds and inches", that's the name of Dr. Simeon's book which details the protocol.

I don't know if my doctor would agree to HCG for me, but I'll ask. I know how to eat right, it's just a matter of doing that consistently. Thanks for the info!

I'm with you wesg - I do well for 20 pounds and then get stuck. I had asked my doctor about the HCG since I have plenty to lose but he didn't like it - he also thinks that it doesn't train you to eat the correct way and that those he's seen have to keep repeating it since they regain the weight. Hang in there - I know it's tough...
