Has anyone tried the Atkins Fat Fast or Stillman diet to break a plateau while doing Atkins? If so, did it work and how long did you do it for? Thanks for any comments!

No, what is the Atkins Fat Fast - is that the macadamia nut thing? And I don't know about the Stillman either. And I thought I was an inveterate dieter.

Yes, one of the potential meals on the Fat Fast is 1/4 cup macadamia nuts. It's basically a high-fat menu of 1000 calories a day. You're supposed to do it in 5 meals (200 calories at each meal). Another 200 cal option is 2 deviled eggs with 2 tsp mayo, or 2 oz tuna with 2 tsp mayo. The theory is that the fat content is high so you won't be hungry. I'm on my 2nd day (the first day I lost 1 lb) and I'll see tomorrow what happens. You're only supposed to do it for 4-5 days and then go back to induction. (I just hope when I go back to induction I don't gain back what I lose on the fat fast). I'll keep you posted if you are interested in this experiment! The Stillman diet is also recommended by Atkins for breaking plateaus but it's the opposite of the Fat Fast. It's 5 small meals of lean meat & chicken. I have never done this and it doesn't sound too appealing.
