Good start on documenting food. Get rid of the protein bars. They usually only encourage a taste for goodies/sweets. Eat real food. Avoid processed, pastas and white breads. I definitely am not the poster child for weight loss this week as I'm eating what I'm tell you not too.
Look on this site and find a diet you can live with for the rest of your life. Get a healthy balance of all foods... fats, protein, carbs. Exercise. Walk, bike, swim, strength training. It's doable. Promise.

Find a plan you can live with for the long haul. A diet needs to be sustainable in order to keep the weight off. You might try the library. They have a section for diet and fitness. Do some googling. You might just count calories. Focus on lean protein, lean dairy, fruits and veggies. Keep processed foods to a minimum. They contain tons of sodium. A food scale, measuring cups and and spoons are great tools. We tend to eat a more when we eyeball food. Stay hydrated. Water flushes out sodium and keeps things moving. Be active! Write down all the reasons why you want to lose and put it where you can see it. Put the scale in front of the fridge. When you have to step on it before you open it, it makes you think twice. Good luck!
