Well here it is, a New Year already. I am ready to renew my weight loss goals and reach my goal in 2011. This weekend has been very sad. You may remember me talking about my cousin's wife. The one who had me so upset a few months ago. She is pretty wild - drinking, smoking pot, and occasionally doing harder stuff. She barely wears any clothes and they tend to come off when she is drinking. Anyways... She has two babies both under 3 years old and a husband who is just as wild as she is. They both love their kids though and are not really bad people they just aren't living their lives right. New years eve night at around 11:00pm Leigha, the wife, was driving home and flipped her car. We think the car rolled over her. She has broken hip bones, spine, cracked ribs, a punctured lung, a cracked skull, and swelling on the brain. My poor stepbrother was the second on the scene of the accident. The first guy split when Chris got there because he was drinking and didn't want to be there when the highway patrol showed up. Chris held her hand and talked to her as she lay in a ditch full of water in 30 degree weather slipping in and out of consciousness. My heart breaks for thier family. My cousin is really taking it hard. He lost his dad suddenly about 10 years ago in a farming accident and that was when he really started drinking and dabbling in other drugs. He says he is never drinking again. He was home with the babies and she was alone in the car, thank God, because they are known to drink and drive with the babies in the car with them. I hope this is a wake up call for them. She was care flighted to Tulsa to a Trauma Center. She is not out of the woods yet. The doctors gave her a 50/50 chance of making it. It all depends on what the swelling on her brain does but her swelling is coming down, the cat scan showed her brain to be functioning normally. They are going to keep her in a drug induced coma for at least two weeks before they try to wake her up. She had her accident only a quarter of a mile from where I hit the cow. Beer, diapers, and glass were all over the highway. Please keep them in your prayers.

As far as my diet goes I am starting new tomorrow. It was supposed to be today but I got a virus last night. I was up until 2am puking and duking! lol! It was awful. I am still queasy today so I thought this might not be the best day to start. All I have ate so far is crackers. I have all my food bought and I am excited to start my diet again. Oh and this is exciting! I got a call early this morning for a job interview! I applied with this company a few months back but never heard from them. Well they called and said that their Payroll Clerk passed away last week and they needed me to come in for an interview ASAP. I am so excited! It is really sad that someone passed away opening the position but in little towns like mine it seems like the only time good jobs open up is when someone dies or retires. So I am off to the dentist and then a job interview. Good Luck on your new years resolutions everyone!
