Not sure this is a true weight loss. Spent Sunday late afternoon to late this morning in the hospital with my youngest boy who was having an asthmatic episode...so I didn't get enough fluids and didn't eat very properly. Tried to stay on plan, but had a bit of his popsicle because he wanted me to have it, and had a piece of Twix because I was exhausted yesterday and needed something.
198.6 lb Lost so far: 11.4 lb.    Still to go: 63.6 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

Those emergency situations are tough to handle bc there's no chance to plan in advance. Just get back on track and go forward. And try to get some rest. And I hope your son is better, too.

Thanks Hbkim. He is doing so much better. Still have to clear up his cough and his inflamed airways though. I did have an Atkins Shake in my purse, as well as some emergency almonds, and I held off eating them until yesterday at separate times. The nurses at one place Sunday night gave us Cheese and Crackers, so the kids ate the crackers and some cheese and that's what I ate as well. Yes, onward and downward (and hope that I don't gain too much of the 4lbs back! LOL).

Oh, Sweetie, the LAST thing you need to worry about when you child is that sick is what you are eating. I'll bet you hardly ate anything, huh? I've been there too, spending a couple of days in the hospita with a sick child. Little is any food and nothing good! You need your strength so you don't get sick yourself! Take care and I'm glad to hear the little one is feeling better. One thing that I noticed with my asthma that no doc has ever told me about... Advil helps! It's a non-steroid anti-inflamitory. If it's not yet out of control, sometimes the Advil helps kick up the inhalers.

Yes, didn't eat very much at all...this morning I ate some beef jerky I brought with me, since I couldn't leave his room to get breakfast. LOL And same with yesterday. Didn't have a lot. Yesterday afternoon I found a greek salad in the cafeteria and a piece of cheese. Bought a McD's greek salad this afternoon on the way home with a grilled chicken breast, waited until I got home and used a greek feta dressing with no carbs. LOL That is really good to know about Advil. I knew it was an anti-inflammatory, but never would have thought it would help with Keegan's attacks. I will have to make sure to keep some on hand. Might even give him some tonight as it might still help.

Oh man! That is no good at all! I agree with barbieq13. The last thing to be worrying about with your son in the hospital is your diet! You sound like to jump right back on track when your nice and ready!
