Today marks 1 month back at it. I am down 5.7lb, which seems kinda small but if I keep this pace up for a year I would be well at my goal. It is hard to stay motivated though and I'm sure that is a big contributor as to why I ended up not counting every day in the last month. But, this time instead of giving up, I tried to get back to it rather than give up. So I guess this is kinda of my motto for now, 'get back to it'. Either after a snacky afternoon or a weekend of no counting, I've just got to get back to it. Some of the days I didn't count were not even very indulgent days but sometimes if I eat out or start grazing (even on healthy stuff) it is kind of hard to go back and log if I don't do it within a few hours. Anyway, it's still a learning experience and I hope I keep learning. I've given up sooo many times before which makes me feel like a failure but I am trying to not go there mentally and just focus on what I can do now and what I am doing now. I still feel crappy for losing 30lb last year, 1/2 way to my goal and the letting up and gaining 15-20lb back. Ugh... it is a pattern I will always feel crappy about which of course I know does nothing to help. It's tough. But what's the alternative... I guess I choose tough. Also, I may be getting engaged sometime in the future and even married sooner than later, so I would like to feel better in my own skin for that, too <3
