Thanks for the support. 😀 After reading the FastDiet and FastExercise books by Michael Mosley and Mimi Spencer (the 5:2 fasting lifestyle), I also bought the recipe book for fast days, and my husband and I have made the changes and are both having great results, with weight loss, loss of inches, and lower blood pressure. We have not implemented the exercise yet, so once we get that going, the results should be better, including the cholesterol in a few months. We are both finding the fast days very manageable because women are allowed to eat 500 calories on a fast day, and men are allowed 600 calories, and the recipes are delicious!

You might also check out Dr. Jason Fung. He has some awesome books out. He also does low carb/high fat and fasting. You can watch him on YouTube or get info on dietdoctor.com or his program idmprogram.com. He is a Canadian kidney specialist with many patients has reversed T2D. I have 2 of his books and it is fascinating how our bodies respond to fasting. I am down 71.2lbs since the end of June. Good luck!

Thanks for the information about Dr. Fung. That's great you are having such great results!! I'm really pleased with how our fasting journey is going, and I've read so much research from Canada, the UK, and the USA, on the benefits of intermittent fasting that it's going to be our normal for the rest of our lives. When I decide to shake things up down the road, I'll definitely keep his name in mind to learn his ways and see how that will work for us.
