I just got back from my first road trip as a non meat/egg/dairy/oil being.
It was a week and a challenge at times but I remained pretty true to the WOE through entire trip. Better than I had actually expected.

I was with two mid western meat eaters that were reasonably supportive although not able to resist the random 'Vegan joke' once in a while. This didn't bother me at all. Worse, by far, was the total absence of 'legal' food by food vendors at this big closed event that we attended. It wasn't practical to leave the venue just for lunch or a snack. I carried some snacks the first day but a frantic agenda by my two associates made planning fresh snacks unrealistic. So, they ate corn-dogs and fries and I went without.

I had expected to gain a few pounds, but, much to my surprise, I got home at the same weight as when we had started.

I survived the trip and appear to be making slow but steady progress with loss of LBs. Surprised that my diabetes numbers haven't increased with the increase in carbs (just as the high priests of this WOE had claimed)! I'm in it for the long term.
188.0 lb Lost so far: 4.0 lb.    Still to go: 18.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 5.3 lb a week
