I used to believe to lose weight you just needed to cut out junk food and eat a sensible diet. But now I that I'm logging food I'm astonished to find something as harmless and toast (with butter of course) can take up a huge amount of my allotted calorie. I also had pasta for lunch one day. That's not junk food, right? It was like 700 calories. I hardly had enough calories left for dinner! I'm getting better. But there sure is a learning curve!

any refined flour products are just loaded with calories. and yes it is a learning curve, great tool to log your food and I would suggest getting a food scale. I measure in grams as it is more accurate. they are super cheap, like $10. Whole foods, lots of green veggies and good proteins help to fill you up. Simple changes can make all the difference.
