I did not do very well today although I did walk for 30 minutes at the mall. I went over my carbs today (2.08 carbs to be exact). I made the mistake of not entering my food in the food diary before I ate it to see if I had the carbs to cover the meal. I just remembered I had 2 ounces of cheese too so I was over by 4.08 carbs. Very poor planning on my part. I'm usually much more careful than that. Maybe I am getting a little flustered by the extra time and work I am doing from the book The Beck Diet Solution. I need to keep my eye on the ball. I tried a new recipe today that was really good for cheesecake pancakes but it may have made me start to crave carbs. Tonight I'm hungry which I usually never am.

I guess I dont know enough about Atkins but it doesn't sound like you did that bad!! Dont beat yourself up you're doing great!

You are doing great Multi. We all have our days where we may go over a bit, or forget to enter our food before we eat. Don' sweat the samll stuff, look at the big picture. And your picture is looking very good!!

I wish i knew ANYTHING about atkins to be able to write something helpful on that topic but alas i do not! Either way that weight loss line is in steady decline so in my books your doing amazingly! One small mishap doesn't take away from all the other hard work you've put in. Well done from me :)

Multi - there are days I am under 2 or over 3-4 but I seem to be fine. Remember that part of the diet is transitioning to OWL where you start adding more carbs anyway and I think everybody's metabolism is different. Remember, Dr Atkins chose 20 as the magic number because he thought it was the number most would be able to lose significant weight on but there are some who need less and some who are okay with more. Don't beat yourself up over a couple extra carbs. You're doing great so far!

Thanks all of you for your comments. I have a tendency to be too hard on myself. I need to treat myself the way I would one of you and be supportive and not so critical. I'll work on that.

Multi, don't feel bad. I had the same problem yesterday. Ate before I entered, although it wouldn't have made much difference. But I went over like 10!!!!! Guess what? We are human!

Multi, going over by such a small amt shouldn't harm you much as long as it's not a continual but honestly I think you're doing great!!

Multi don't feel bad you're doing great.Yesterday I not only didn't use my diary but had a handful of semi-choc morsals,just one of those days.

eh.. I'm okay with it. =) as long as I don't repeat it daily. I did drop 2 lbs since yesterday!!

let me say I know it's not good or right to toss little things we need to stay away from for now, but occasionally... very occasionally if we are having a day and we know something very tiny may keep us from blowing an ENTIRE day then I do think it's ok, but not on a daily or really a weekly thing b/c then our body starts to get confused and we may not continue to drop and we also get that sugar craving back in us.
