gug's Journal, 10 January 2008

I am going to try to journal more often. I guess it seems important to some of my fatsecret buddies. I really live a pretty dull life because I’m retired, have two grown children who both live far away from me, and have no grandchildren (even though my daughter has been married for 16 years), my son, age 42 years old, is not married.
Yesterday I spent 4 hours touring the Cape Canaveral Space Center, watching some TV, and spent 2 hours at the gym, boring – I know. What can I say. I think that if I journaled every day, it would be the same. I guess that’s why I don’t journal. But I do so much love to read everyone’s journal. Love Ya!

So my life is much like yours; I live in sunny FL., retired for 3 years now, bowl 2 x a week, volunteer in a child care center, go to curves, but all of this doesn't take as much time up as it sounds it might. My grown daughters live far away with my grandkids.......The daily journaling, or at least answering journals actually does help fill up the time. I find I am MISSING FAVORITE tv progams while on line. Also, go on more trips, or to the theater....

I agree with bullyT, touring Cape Canaveral doesn't sound boring at all. Writing a real journal publicly isn't really something I feel comfortable with, but limiting the journal to what is happening with ones weight or overall health, can be very helpful as the feedback and encouragement one receives on Fatsecret can contribute to helping one come back into line before things get out of hand.

i didnt think i would enjoy journaling, but once you get into the habit, then you can always go bck an find a solution to your diet, or eating habits.. and or your buddies can help you out, if you in a plateau..all good points if you journal..

I like journaling because not only do you get encouragement from your buddies, but later you can look back and see how you were doing!
