I realized I am undereating at 1080-1100 calories so I have bumped the calories up to 1900. It is very hard to get up to those calories but I will manage to do so. I just hope that I don't start gaining weight on these calories.

That seems rather high for weight loss. The doctor on "My 600-pound Life" doesn't even recommend such high calorie plans for his patients who weigh so much more than you do. I would think you shouldn't force yourself to eat so much more if you aren't hungry and are trying to lose weight. Fat Secret tends to give out RDI numbers that many users find too high and adjust downward.

Yeah I have realized that going that high is literally impossible for me. Unless I just binge on chips. Not going to do that. I've gotten as high as 1200 that seems to be a good number for me if I can even make it that high. ;)

Make sure and triple check from different sources about what your caloric intake should be! If you are only loosing 1 pound a week on average then you are only shorting yourself 500 calories per day. Just be sure and each day can change depending on activity. Just trying to help😀

I agree with Rob! Try http://www.calculator.net/calorie-calculator.html

I only eat about 1100 a day but literally can't fit anymore in. Plus any changes you make should be slow. Try eating 1200 then 1300.. I tried for 1300 today but didn't make it.

Yeah I made it to 1400 today course I had some bread. But I do think I am going to keep it at around 1300 or less. If I am full I shouldn't eat more. That'll only harm me. So I think that's what I'll do. I will also take a look at that site too. I was just told by a guy who said he was a personal trainer and said I was loosing too quickly.

calorie calculators are basically a unit of measure, but use yoir bodies own measurement and intuitively eat. Sometimes, as much as you dont want too eat, or eating anxiety for fesr of gaining weight...your body needs good calories, or youll stop losing fat, and your body will eat away at your muscle mass instead because of deprivation. just food for thought..

I agree with what others are saying. RDI calculators are a start, but you have to also go with the signals from your body. My RDI calculates at 1600, but there are a lot of days I'm fine with 1400. Other (more rare) days, it's more like 1800, but overall, I am losing and feeling good. I wish you continued success!

Don't be a slave to calorie counting. Most people that tell you that you need X number of calories a day are also telling you to eat a lot of high carbs. Gram per gram, healthy fats have more calories than carbs so just by increasing the fats a little, you increase the calorie count without the fattening carbs. Also remember that a lot of the green vegetables are net carbs so they are good for you and adding a little heathy fat to them makes them so much better.

try protein powder, I know it sounds meh...but I hated it before and found a brand called isopure. I drink it in milk and it nets 400 calories in 12 oz with two scoops. Plus its only 3g carbs and no sugars, has 50g protein and 750mg potassium if thats something you have a hard time getting in your diet like me.

I never lose weight at 1900 calories- that would maybe even be above maintenance range for me. I would go by how you feel- we can't get Calories logged exaaaactly because foods vary. Who knows, maybe you are measuring and weighing and it's really 1300 calories which is probably fine. Its easy to pack on calories by just adding another Tablespoon of olive oil to whatever you are eating. Melting butter into your scrambled eggs etc.

I use whole milk though, skim or fat free would net about 300

You were 199 on July 2 and 197 most recently. That is NOT too fast, its moderate. That is a very healthy rate to lose weight and is associated with it staying off.

Are you weighing and measuring food? Have you calculated your RDI based on your current weight or goal weight?

I'm weighing out food as best as I can. I use measuring cups and the tablespoons and stuff. I don't normally eat something that I have to actually weigh. But if I do I trying to say ok if I think this is 4 oz then I'm going to say it's 8 oz or 6 oz because what if I'm wrong. So I try to do that. Most of the time it's already on the package or container and I just use the measuring cups.
