Perhaps you need to allow yourself a special treat, like the flavored beer drink, one a week or so. That way, you have something to look forward to and can remind yourself when you're tempted. Don't give up!!

I call them "post Y2K wine coolers". Don't beat yourself up on this. You went over your carb limit one day. If you feel really bad about walk an extra mile (that's what I do). PANDASMOM is right about having something to look forward to. I have a date on the calendar once a month that is a "free day". On that day you give yourself permission to eat, drink, and be merry WITH ZERO GUILT. If you have that day already planned, it makes fighting the everyday temptations easier because you know when you can enjoy a real Coke-a-cola, a Mike's Hard Lemonade (or two ... or six) plus a nice cheeseburger to go with it. And you will actually find that on those free days, you really don't go as crazy as you think. [Except for the alcohol if it has been one of THOSE months.] Hang in there doll. :-)

Listen to panda, and poof. My cheat meal once a week is probably one of the most essential and wonderful tools of this process. 1) It actually helps to measure my progress because at some point you're not going to be able to eat as much as you once did. 2) It teaches me about delayed gratification and not being so impulsive about what I put into my mouth. 3) I don't have to feel like I'm missing out on those things honestly enjoy, but don't need to ingest in massive quantities.

I don't believe in cheat days, as rewarding oneself with other non-food items can be much more lasting and won't undo all your hard work for the week. Try treating yourself to a manicure, new shoes, etc. once you've reached a mini-goal (e.g. every 10 pounds lost). Eye on the prize!

Drinking is not worth the calories! I know I want to drink, some days I think of it multiple times! But then I think about how it will make me feel and how temporary it is. I have a high tolerance so I was drinking the amount of calories that I'm supposed to consume in food. Some days it was up to 1600 calories!! I didn't know this til I started this app! I was sabotaging myself! And I drank for many reasons but one reason was to forget I was fat! Wth was I thinking? Just remember next time the buzz is soo temporary! You could eat something in place of those calories!! Take care.

I never have a problem with food or candy or any stuff like that. It's the Beer I have a hard time staying away from. Everyone's got there "thing" it's gonna happen, your gonna drink a beer and eat a cupcake or whatever every now and then. Don't get discouraged. Just try to go for Light beer or low cal drinks
