Good afternoon all. I'm completely exhausted and glad it's Friday!! This has been a hard week, we've been moving office space and lots of supply inventory. I've gone home sore and tired every day. I've done some yoga, but not much. I think I was in the hot shower 30 minutes yesterday, my hubby kept asking if I was okay. My sugars have been real good and I've really not been hungry. Then today something nice happened. I young lady I haven't seen in a while passed and said hi Mae, then as we exchanged pleasantries, she said " You looking great, like your getting thinner and younger every day." Okay, my ego inflated a bit! lol She's not the type person to just give complements, we're NYers, we actually have to mean it. That started about an hour conversation on Keto diet/Fatsecret. I found out she was diagnosed with pre-diabetes and she's very interested. I made sure to stress that she should discuss it with her doctor before she makes this kind of drastic life change. I also think I made a cloud bread convert. When I make my cloud bread I always do two batches, 1 regular, 1 cinnamon - I love a good cinnamon roll with my coffee in the morning. I brought some in for my co-worker and she just loved them. So, hopefully when I weigh tomorrow it will show on the scale.

It's so nice when coworkers notice, and even nicer when you can help someone who needs to make some changes in their own life. I've got a couple of folks who have asked for guidance, and now we're diet buddies at work. Nice!

I think having you "buddies" to chat with and get things out really helps. Right now I'm doing it on my own, hubby and Mom try to be supportive, but Mom is scared I'll kill myself (dropping my sugars so much)and hubby doesn't really care what he eats. I'm finding that my girlfriends are different - I ask what's in food when we go out to restaurants. I don't know, they are annoyed or embarrassed. I've noticed the invites are becoming less. I just get a different vibe from them and I stopped talking about things I'm doing. This time is different though, I am committed to myself! My sugars are normal, I feel good and I enjoy trying all the new recipes. I love doing yoga and will get where down to where I want to be come hell or high water. Tonight I'm making salmon with vodka sauce and cauliflower rice - I can't wait

Mae, I've found that I have to be very careful about sharing diet talk. Non dieters are either easily bored and judgmental or they are threatened. So, I wait for others to ask me. Even then I keep it simple unless they question me further. I don't want to impose my focus on anyone. But of course if they are truly interested then we can have great conversations about it.
